Australian Galleries is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most reputable galleries, having represented renowned artists such as Brett Whiteley and Jeffrey Smart. PRELUDE, the gallery’s first open-call exhibition for emerging artists, was a dynamic group show designed to address barriers faced by early-career practitioners. The exhibition marked a formative moment, situating a new generation of artists within the same spaces that have long showcased many of the country’s leading contemporary figures. I was honoured to have two oil paintings, Transient Symmetry #1 and #2, included alongside 123 other talented artists.
